Dyneema rope cover is a game-changer in sailing technology, renowned for its lightweight design and exceptional abrasion resistance. Crafted from tightly woven Dyneema fibers, this material offers unmatched durability and reduced weight, making it ideal for various applications on sailing yachts.

Dyneema® is celebrated for its remarkable strength-to-weight ratio, making Dyneema rope covers significantly lighter than traditional rope materials while maintaining exceptional performance. This lightweight nature minimizes weight aloft, enhancing yacht agility and speed.

In addition to its lightweight properties, Dyneema rope covers exhibit outstanding abrasion resistance. They withstand the rigors of sailing, enduring friction against sails, mast, deck and hardware without compromising integrity. This resilience ensures longevity and reliability, even in demanding marine environments.

Moreover, Dyneema's resistance to UV degradation and water absorption further enhances its suitability for marine use. It maintains performance over time, requiring less maintenance compared to traditional rope materials.

Dyneema rope covers represent a pinnacle of innovation, enabling sailors to push boundaries with lightweight, durable solutions. Whether you're racing or cruising, Dyneema rope covers deliver superior performance and reliability, elevating sailing experiences to new heights.

What Applications are Dyneema rope cover used for?

• Often used over 2-4 meters at the top of a halyard to prevent wear are the halyard sheave exit point.

• It can be used over 2-4m at the end of jib/genoa sheets to lighten the ends and also reduce friction against rigging through tacks

• Also, used over longer lengths of spinnaker and gennaker sheets to lighten the ends and reduce drag on mast and rigging through gybes

• It can be used to taper down a control line to reduce line diameter and reduce friction in purchase systems

What size of dyneema rope cover do I need?

Each line in this category has a minimum and maximum recommended line diameter in the specification tab on the product page. This diameter refers to the core diameter. Using the dyneema cover on the maximum diameter core will mean the cover is tight on the core, and it would be more difficult to do a full cover splice. A loser cover is recommended if you plan to do a cover splice. A tighter cover can be used if you plan to taper and finish with a single cover eye splice.
