Surface mounted compass with specially damped compass card. Protects the compass during hard insertion into the shaft. Ideal for small and medium sized powerboats with bracket for various mounting options. The compass is removable. It has a built-in light and compensator. Also included is a bracket that allows installation of the compass, for example, in the deck or in a sloping bulkhead.
