Der Karver-Block kann für eine 2:1 oder 3:1 Talje am Boden der Trommel oder eine 2:1 Talje am Fall verwendet werden.
Das 3:1-Ende kann durch die Mitte des Umlenkblocks mit der rollengelagerten Umlenkrolle festgezurrt werden, was eine reibungsarme, hochbelastbare Feineinstellung der Vorlieksspannung ermöglicht.
Der Vorteil dieses Zusatzes zum Standardaufbau ist ein geringeres Gewicht beim Heben und eine bessere Spannung des Stags.
