The KFX Structural furler is a variation of Karver's new range of KF V3 furlers. This is the 3rd version since their creation in 2003. The V3 furlers are easily recognisable due to the unique carbon / Kevlar® continuous line wheel!
A structural furler is integrated to the main forestay as a structural member. Such a system is on average 8 times lighter than a conventional reefing furler but does not allow the use of a partially furled sail.
KFX Structural furlers are fitted as standard with a carbon / Kevlar® continuous line wheel, a reinforced ABS drum protected by K Krok neoprene protection, reliable and durable stainless steel fork, secure fittings (pins screwed/ glued or lashing eyes), a remote locking system for the continuous line wheel and a swivel also protected by K Krok. All KFX can be ordered as a single line version. The KFX furlers can be supplemented by V3 furlers for other headsails and are available in 3 versions: Standard, Racing and Classic with different finishes but always in the same spirit of performance.
